YAIA Future Leaders Series
Young Australians in International Affairs’ Future Leaders Series is an annual flagship program designed to engage Australia’s emerging leaders in the critical issues shaping Australia, the Indo-Pacific region, and the international system. The 2026 program focuses on Digital Policy and Diplomacy, exploring how digital diplomacy, digital economics, technology, and AI are influencing global challenges and the future policy environment.
Delivered over six weeks in June and July, the program includes five themed modules, a policy workshop, and a policy pitch competition. Participants can expect to learn from experts, examine how Australian policymakers are responding to digital transformation, and build practical policy, teamwork, and professional networking skills. The opportunity is suited to young Australians interested in international affairs, diplomacy, public policy, technology, regional engagement, and future-focused global leadership.
The program is designed to help participants deepen their understanding of digital issues in international relations while developing the skills and networks to contribute to future policy conversations.
