Opportune is a youth-led, volunteer-powered platform on a mission to make opportunities visible, accessible, and achievable for young people.
Our mission is simple: bridge the gap between undiscovered talent and the opportunities they deserve. We believe talent shouldn’t be hidden by lack of access. That’s why we connect young people with internships, jobs, volunteering, mentorships, grants, and programs from purpose-driven organisations, all in one central, youth-tailored platform.
Our mission is to close the visibility gap between capable young people and the pathways that can shape their futures. Unlike generic job boards, Opportune is built for early-career professionals. We cut through the noise, currate every listing, and make it easy to find opportunities that align with your skills, ambitions, and values.

Meet the Founder
If there’s one question I’ve been asked more than any other throughout my journey, it’s this:
“Where do you find all these opportunities?”
From scholarships and summits to internships and panels, I’ve spent years navigating the world of youth leadership, career development, and changemaking. And along the way, I realised something: it’s not a lack of ambition holding young people back. It’s a lack of access.
I’ve always believed that success is where opportunity meets preparation. But what happens when you’re prepared, and the opportunities just never show up? I saw this massive gap, between the people already in the industry and the ones trying to break in. We live in a world flooded with information, but somehow the most important stuff, the credible, life-changing stuff, still feels impossible to access.
That’s why I started Opportune. I wanted to build the kind of network I wish existed when I was starting out. One that goes beyond listing roles to actually connect you with the right opportunities and communities. One that removes barriers, not builds them. One that sees your potential before your CV does.
Job boards today are like Tinder: fast, endless, and often superficial. We don’t need more swiping. What we need are matchmakers who work for us. Right now, recruiters and hiring platforms are built to serve companies. But what if we flipped that? What if we had something built for the jobseeker, for the early-career dreamer, for the youth ready to take their first real step?
This platform is powered by the belief that young people aren’t just the future, we’re already building it. I’ve seen the talent, grit, and creativity of the people around me, and I wanted to create something that helps turn that energy into momentum.
Opportune is that, but it’s more than just a list. It’s a network. A growing collective of young people who share leads, open doors, and support each other’s next move. Because no one gets anywhere alone and everyone deserves to be matched to something they’re truly built for.
