Carers Victoria Young Carer Art Competition
Carers Victoria is promoting the Young Carer Art Competition, run by Carer Gateway and Holstep Health, for young carers aged 25 and under who care for a family member, friend, or loved one. Entrants are invited to create a drawing, painting, photograph, or other artwork on paper or canvas responding to the theme “Your Art, Your Voice.”
The competition gives young carers an opportunity to share their experiences creatively, have their work recognised, and connect with broader support available through Carer Gateway. Entries are open across three age groups: 12 and under, 13–18 years, and 19–25 years, with prizes awarded in each category. Selected works may also be showcased at a Young Carer Art Exhibition later in the year.
To be eligible for prizes, entrants must be registered with Carer Gateway, which is free and provides access to emotional, practical, and mental health support for carers. The opportunity is especially relevant for young people balancing caring responsibilities with school, study, work, family, or community life.
