Roles

  • Opportune Foundation is a youth-led, volunteer-powered not-for-profit platform making impact-sector opportunities visible, accessible, and achievable for young people across Australia.

We connect emerging talent with curated programs, grants, internships, volunteering, jobs, and leadership pathways from purpose-driven organisations, all in one central, youth-tailored platform.

    About the Role

As Social Media & Marketing Co-Directors, you'll lead the strategy, voice, and creative direction of Opportune’s digital presence. You'll be jointly responsible for growing our audience, building community trust, and ensuring our messaging inspires action while staying true to our mission and values.

This is a shared strategic and hands-on role. While you'll work together on all key responsibilities, the workload can be divided based on your strengths. One Co-Director will focus on short-form content and engagement (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok), while the other will manage long-form content (e.g., LinkedIn articles, Instagram posts) and overarching strategy. You'll develop campaigns, manage content calendars, mentor contributors, and ensure our platforms remain a go-to space for young people looking for opportunities in the impact sector. You'll collaborate closely with other directors and coordinators to ensure campaigns and content align with national priorities.

    Location: Remote (Australia-based preferred)
    Time Commitment: 6–10 hours/week, flexible
    Reporting to: Executive Director
Status: Not currently recruiting but expressions of interest welcome

    • Focus Area (Co-Director 2): Specialise in static image posts (carousels, graphics) and long-form written content (LinkedIn, email marketing).

    Community Growth & Engagement

    • Monitor and engage with our online community, responding to messages, comments, and tags in a timely manner

    • Identify and implement growth strategies to expand reach and engagement across platforms

    • Build relationships with aligned organisations, influencers, and networks for cross-promotion
