WhyNot is a youth-driven media platform that exists to amplify real stories, perspectives, and lived experiences of young people in Australia. Whether you want to share a personal journey, comment on a social issue, publish poetry, or showcase creative work, WhyNot gives you the space to be heard. Submissions are accepted year-round and can take the form of written pieces, art, photography, audio, or video.

You don’t need to be a professional writer—just someone with something to say. The editorial team works with contributors to help shape their work and bring it to life in a youth-safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
