AHRC Project Support Officer
The Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) is recruiting Project Support Officers for full time or part time, non ongoing positions within its Policy Section. The Commission is Australia’s national human rights institution, dedicated to promoting and safeguarding the human rights of all Australians. These roles will support key strategic initiatives and project teams across areas such as Sex Discrimination, Race Discrimination, Disability Discrimination, and Children's Rights. Key duties include high level executive and administrative assistance, logistics coordination for community consultations, diary and travel management, data/record management, and conducting research and stakeholder mapping under supervision. The successful applicant would be employed for an initial period of up to twelve months, with a maximum period of two years in total if extended.

Must be an Australian citizen to be employed in the Australian Public Service.
Demonstrated ability to provide high level executive and administrative support in a project setting.
Very good organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to conduct research and analyse policy issues.
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and/or experience in human rights is desirable.
Experience in community consultation and/or public awareness initiatives is desirable.
