Tania Aurelia

As an International Law student undertaking a double bachelor of laws in Indonesia and Australia. This experience has taught me the importance of change. Change in cities, culture and most importantly network. Over the years, I have learned building a network is essential. for my social development in my day to day life or university life and professional development.

Being in a new environment may sometimes be challenging and difficult to navigate. Where most people can find friend groups, organizations and job opportunities. Being an international student adds extra pressure to navigate and adapt to the new surroundings.

As someone who is currently adjusting, I have always wanted to be part of a community that helps students like me to navigate through these new circumstances. This is why I felt the Opportune Foundation was the organisation for me because it aims to become a bridge to close the gap between capable young people with pathways that can shape their futures.

As a future legal professional, I am eager to bring my skills and knowledge to Opportune Foundation to help youth individuals showcase their talents and provide them with opportunities to grow. As someone who has many international peers, I have seen firsthand how challenging it is to find opportunities in a new country.

I believe that doing work that is meaningful to the community is special. I am excited to be part of an organisation that shares these goals.
