Rotary International 2026-27 Youth Advisory Council

Rotary International is offering an opportunity to serve on its  2026-27 Youth Advisory Council. Youth program participants, alumni, and Rotary members are invited to serve at the international level and advise the Board of Directors of Rotary International to shape the future of our youth programs. Youth voices are essential in making innovative, strategic, and lasting change for Rotary’s youth programs. This movement will allow you to share your voice on behalf of your people around the world.

    Council term: 30 June 2027

    Orientation: 27 June 2026 (8:00–10:00 UTC−5)

    Required meeting weeks (2× per week, 2 hours each; times TBD):

    • 17–23 August 2026

    • 2–8 November 2026

    • 1–7 February 2027

    • 19–25 April 2027

  • Candidate requirements

    • Applicants must be current Interact, Youth Exchange and RYLA program participants, alumni, or a Rotary/Rotaract member at the time of application and must plan to be active through 30 June 2027

    Age requirements

    • Must be at least 13 years old at the time of the application and have had a parent/guardian reviewed this opportunity or be 18 years of age or older.

    Location or citizenship

    • Open Internationally to everyone.

    Time Commitment

    • Participate in virtual meetings and ongoing collaboration via email throughout the term (through 30 June 2027).
      • Attend a mandatory orientation on 27 June 2026 (8:00–10:00 UTC−5).
      • Join two meetings per week (2 hours each; times TBD) during these weeks: 17–23 Aug 2026, 2–8 Nov 2026, 1–7 Feb 2027, 19–25 Apr 2027.
      • Serve as a panellist in at least one webinar and support storytelling/content via social media and/or blogs.

    Application Requirements

    • Applicant Information: Your name, age, and contact information.

    • Rotary Background: club membership (current or previous), participation in club, district, zone and international roles and activities, as well as other Rotary programs. 

    • Short Answers: A few questions about your ideas and experience and how you will help achieve the goals outlined for the Youth Advisory Council.

    • Video Application: To record and upload a short video (no more than 60 seconds) so you can tell us in your own voice why you think you should be selected for the opportunity.
