Disastrous Dinners: Youth-led Emergency Preparedness Event is a free rooftop picnic hostedby the Australian Red Cross, specifically their REDxYouth (Victorian Youth Branch) and Youth Advisory Committee. This event will be held at the National Head Office rooftop in Docklands, Victoria, on 5 February 2026 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
This event brings together passionate young people to learn about disaster preparedness in a fun and engaging way. It also marks an exciting milestone in building and consolidating the Victorian section of their Youth Branch.
This event includes a three-course picnic dinner, where participants will create their own emergency plan using the Australian Red Cross “Get Prepared” app, working through a heat-related disaster scenario. There will also be multiple stands showcasing different ARC programs and the service they bring to the wider community.
